How does NexGard (afoxolaner) kill fleas?
NexGard contains the ingredient afoxolaner which targets and kills adult fleas before they can lay eggs.
Does NexGard also kill ticks?
NexGard kills Lone Star ticks, Black-legged ticks, American dog ticks and Brown dog ticks.
How old does my dog need to be in order to take NexGard?
NexGard is safe and effective for use in puppies 8 weeks of age or older, weighing 4 pounds or more.

Nexgard (Afoxolaner) is for use in dogs only. The most frequently reported adverse reactions include vomiting, itching, lethargy, diarrhea, and lack of appetite. The safe use of NexGard in pregnant, breeding, or lactating dogs has not been evaluated. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders.

I’ve been feeding stray cats and dogs in the neighborhood and Caminade Petshop is my go-to-place every time I encounter stray dogs with mild-to-severe case of mange. One tablet (with ofcourse the right dosage) and no fleas. Very effective. No scratching at all since tablet was received and with monthly maintenance as needed. I will be keep on using this product. 🙂
Bought this for my puppy who had fleas, and right after she took it, she stopped itching! This product is well recommended!
